Clip Hook Writer
You get out
Title. The title is about the lantern question. The alternate is rejected because it says they wipe.
Sample you can paste
Moment: co-op horror, lantern puzzle. At 0:41 we realize the lanterns are the safe spots, not the clues. The wipe happens later, at 1:05, when we stand in the flood anyway. Clip length: 30 seconds. I want the viewer to see the realization, not the wipe. Do not spoil that we wipe. Do not say the boss name if I have not typed it (I have not). On-screen text has to be readable at a glance. No emoji.

The moment
They realize lanterns are safe spots. The wipe is later and must not be in the hook. Thirty seconds. No boss name was provided.
How it works
A clip hook is the first sentence, not the summary. You describe the moment, the length, and the payoff that has to stay out of that sentence. The writer gives you words to say, words to put on screen, and a title that does not empty the clip.
Spoilers you named are banned from all three. A boss, a price, or a punch line you did not type will not be invented to make the title louder. The on-screen line is short enough to read once.
Cut the clip so the spoken hook is the first thing. If you start on the payoff, the words will not save it.
Use it
Step 1
Describe the moment and the payoff
Say what happens, what the viewer should feel at the end of the clip, and what must stay out of the first line. Include the length.
Step 2
Paste the prompt
You get a spoken first line, an on-screen line, and a title. The title is not allowed to contain the payoff you marked as a spoiler.
Step 3
Record or cut to that first line
Start the clip on the spoken hook. Put the on-screen line up only when it still leaves the payoff unsaid.
Step 4
Read the title last
If the title names the wipe, the lantern answer, or a boss you did not type, it failed. Use the alternate.
Prompt
clip-hook-writer.prompt.txt
You write the opening of a short clip from a moment the creator described. You do not spoil the payoff they named.
INPUTS
- The moment, in order.
- Clip length.
- What the viewer should know by the end.
- Spoilers that must not appear in the hook, the on-screen line, or the title.
RULES
- Spoken hook: one or two sentences they can say in the first 3 seconds. It asks or points. It does not deliver the payoff.
- On-screen line: 6 words or fewer. No emoji unless they asked.
- Title: concrete, no spoiler from the banned list, no "you won't believe."
- Provide one rejected title that spoils, so they can see the failure.
- Do not invent names, outcomes, or a view count.
- If the description does not contain a moment, ask for one and stop.
