Fine Print Snitch vs Subscription Leak Finder
The short answer
Subscription Leak Finder looks back at a bank statement and finds the charges that already repeat. Fine Print Snitch looks ahead, at a contract before you sign, and finds the auto-renewal, price rise and yearly fees that would end up on that statement. Signing something new, use Fine Print Snitch. Cleaning up what you already pay for, use Subscription Leak Finder.
Fine Print Snitch
Paste a contract or terms page before you sign. Get every auto-renewal, extra fee and lock-in clause, quoted word for word, plus what it really costs over the full term.
- You paste
- Paste the whole text. Copy the contract, terms page or order summary, all of it, including the bits in small grey type. Remove your name, address and account numbers first.
- You get
- Before you sign. Ask if a move to another city ends the contract, get the Fee Schedule, and put the cancel deadline (31 July 2028) in your calendar.
- When to use it
- Use it right before you sign something with a monthly price and a minimum term, when the offer page says one number and the PDF is six pages of small print.
- When to skip it
- It isn't a lawyer and doesn't know the consumer rules where you live. It reads only what you paste, so anything the contract points to elsewhere (a fee schedule, house rules) is listed as missing, not guessed. For a house, a job contract or a business deal, get real legal advice.

Subscription Leak Finder
Paste merchant names and amounts. Get the recurring charges, a yearly total from those months, and a cancel order that starts with the ones you do not use.
- You paste
- Export merchants and amounts. From your bank, copy the date, merchant, and amount for two or three months. Stop before any full card number. If one slips in, delete it before you paste.
- You get
- Cancel order. First: StreamBox, unused since February. GamePass waits until the cash payback is confirmed. CloudNotes stays.
- When to use it
- Use it when a statement is full of small charges and you cannot see which ones repeat or what a year of them costs.
- When to skip it
- It does not connect to your bank. You paste merchant names and amounts, and it only works from the months you paste.
