Inbox Triage Desk vs Nope Nicely
The short answer
Inbox Triage Desk goes through a whole morning of email and tells you what to reply to, delegate, park or archive. Nope Nicely takes the one request you already know you want to decline and writes that reply. Sort the inbox first, then bring the hard no here.
Inbox Triage Desk
Paste a morning of subjects and first lines. Get four piles: reply today, delegate, wait, and archive, plus the sentence to send.
- You paste
- Copy subjects and first lines. From your inbox, copy the sender, the subject, and the first line. Do not paste full threads, attachments, or anyone's secrets. Five to twenty messages is a morning.
- You get
- The sentence. To Alex: 'Section 4 is yes. Sending before noon.' Nothing else gets a paragraph.
- When to use it
- Use it first thing in the morning, when you reread the same subjects every day and the ones that need a sentence are buried.
- When to skip it
- It does not connect to your mailbox or send anything. You paste subjects and first lines, it sorts them.

Nope Nicely
Paste the request you want to turn down and your real reason. Get three ways to say no, from warm to final, with no fake excuse and no accidental yes.
- You paste
- Paste the ask. Copy the message as they wrote it, plus who it's from and where it came in: email, Slack, text. A boss, a client, and your cousin all get a different no.
- You get
- If she pushes. One line to hold the no: which launch would slip if you took it, and the Tuesday review offer again.
- When to use it
- Use it when you've rewritten the same "sorry, I'd love to, but..." three times and every version still sounds like you might say yes.
- When to skip it
- It writes the reply, it doesn't make the call. If you're not sure you should say no, decide that first. It also won't invent an excuse for you, so if the honest reason is one you can't share, it keeps the reason out instead of making one up.
